DreamKnit fabric
pills after a couple wash cycles
- Sunday Joggers stayed comfortable through 12-hour shifts
- DreamKnit fabric actually breathes when you're moving
- Holds up better than gym shorts masquerading as pants
- Started pilling after fourth wash cycle
- Runs short if you're over 6 feet
- $98 for joggers is damn steep for working folks
What I tested
Look, I bought the Sunday Performance Jogger because my wife said I couldn't wear Carhartt sweatpants to my niece's graduation. Cost me $98, which is about what I spend on work boots that last two years. These are pants for sitting down.
I wore them hard for three months. Doctor's appointments, weekend errands, that Tuesday I had to run downtown to the union hall then grab parts before the supply house closed. Not work clothes, but the kind of stuff you do when you ain't on the clock but still gotta move.
What works
The DreamKnit fabric thing they talk about? It's real. I'm not a chemist, can't tell you what's in it, but it breathes better than regular sweatpants. Had them on during a 10-hour drive to my brother's place in Kentucky in July, AC busted for the first two hours. Didn't feel like I was wrapped in a damn sauna.
They're comfortable. That's the whole point, I guess. Waistband doesn't dig in after you eat. You can bend over to pick up a dropped bolt without feeling like the crotch is gonna rip out. The fit is clean enough that nobody's looking at you like you gave up on life, which is more than I can say for most "athletic" pants.
I wore them through a Browns game in November, outside, and they kept the wind off better than I expected. They ain't winter gear but they're not useless either.

What didn't
Here's the truth: they started pilling after maybe the fourth wash. Not terrible, but noticeable on the inner thighs. My wife says it's because I wash everything on hot and throw it in the dryer. Maybe. But if I gotta baby $98 pants through laundry, that's a problem.
The fit runs short and slim. I'm 6'2", 210, built like a guy who's been pulling wire for 22 years. These fit more like I should be doing yoga in San Diego than loading my truck in Toledo. The large was snug and the inseam hits right at my ankle. Not a dealbreaker but they're clearly designed for a different body type.
And hell, the price keeps going up. I swear these were $89 when I first looked at them. Now they're $98. For that money I could get three pairs of decent gym pants that'd last just as long, pills and all.
Would I buy them again?
Maybe. If I needed something that works for errands, travel, casual stuff where I gotta look halfway put together. They do that job well. But I ain't buying a second pair until this one wears out, and at the rate they're pilling, that might be sooner than I'd like for a hundred bucks.
They're good pants. Comfortable, versatile, better quality than the cheap stuff. But they're not miracle pants, and the price makes you think twice.
Verdict: Solid everyday joggers if you can stomach the price and don't mind some pilling, but size up if you're built like an actual person.
